Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SocialGear, a free fraud-preparation training service operated by Eyal Lapid (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using SocialGear, you agree to these Terms.

The English version of this document governs. If this document is translated, the English text takes precedence in the event of any conflict.

Agreement

By using SocialGear, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use SocialGear.

Service Description

SocialGear provides free fraud-preparation training through scam-recognition quests, exercises, and drills. The service is designed to help people recognize common fraud and scam techniques. We may change, add, pause, or remove training content and features as the service evolves.

Accounts

You can sign in to SocialGear using a magic link sent to your email address. We do not use passwords. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure, because anyone with access to your email can sign in to your SocialGear account. Please notify us at privacy@socialgear.ing if you suspect that someone has accessed your account without your permission.

Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • use SocialGear for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable law;
  • attempt to disrupt, probe, overload, or attack the service or its infrastructure;
  • scrape, harvest, or collect data from other users without their consent;
  • use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access or interact with the service without our written permission;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
  • transmit malware, harmful code, or unsolicited messages.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when needed to protect SocialGear, its users, or our legal rights.

Training Content Disclaimer

SocialGear training content — including quests, exercises, and drills — is educational in nature. All scenarios are fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, organizations, or institutions is coincidental.

The training content is not financial advice and is not legal advice. Completing training on SocialGear does not guarantee that you will recognize or avoid every scam. Real fraud schemes change constantly, and no training service can ensure complete protection.

AI-Generated Content

Training content on SocialGear is created with the help of artificial intelligence and reviewed by humans before publication. For full details on how we use AI, see our AI Disclosure page.

Fees

SocialGear is provided free of charge. If we ever introduce paid features or subscriptions, we will update these Terms before doing so and give you advance notice through the service or by email.

Termination

You may stop using SocialGear or delete your account at any time in the Settings page. Account deletion is handled according to the Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, if continued access creates risk to the service or other users, or if we are required to do so by law.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

SocialGear is provided “as is” and as available. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any specific content is accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising out of your use of SocialGear is limited. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data or service interruption. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For any dispute you wish to raise, please contact us first at privacy@socialgear.ing so we can try to resolve the issue together.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as SocialGear evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the Last Updated date and version number at the top of this document. We will communicate material changes through the service or by email where appropriate.
